Hello, I was wondering if you could help me with a health problem I have. I have been suffering since my early teens, and was first told I had candida, IBS, then chronic fatigue, a nervous tummy… amongst numerous other things but the problem has never gone away, and if anything it has got worse. Recently I read an article on Ceoliacs disease and gluten intolerances. I have nearly all of the symptoms of this so I went to the doctors, who tried to tell me it was still IBS and to take some more tablets… I have now ordered a home test (a finger prick test) so I can see whether I have this condition and do something about it myself. For the past 4 days, I have cut all gluten, wheat and dairy from my diet and I have already felt much better in myself, a lot less tired and irritable, and I have been less hungry. My headaches, stomach aches and mouth ulcers have also improved.
The only problem is what to eat now and what is safe to order from a restaurant menu! (and most importantly, can I drink alcohol!) It is very difficult to keep to the strict non gluten diet as so many foods have hidden gluten and I have spent so long in the supermarkets over the past week reading the small labels on products to check what I can and cannot have. Could anyone give me some more information about Ceoliacs disease, keeping it at bay and what foods would be good for me to have for breakfast? I used to have oats but I cannot have those now either. Please help me!

I have seen and heard of some expensive honey, manuka honey. Why is manuka honey so expensive and what are the medicinal values of it?
